When sound film was first invented, sound dubbing was not a common practice. Multiple versions of the same narrative were made in different languages for the globalizing film market. Often using the same sets and camera movements and sometimes shot back to back, Rather To Potentialities takes two films from this period of multiple language versions films, The Mistress of Atlantis, L’Atlantide (1932) and SOS Iceberg, SOS Eisberg (1933) and places them side by side.
